Curator

Picture
Hi there!  I'm the curator of askmetodance.org!  I'm a Boston-based social dancer, occasional acrobat, performance artist and educator.  I love bringing people in my community together to make awesome things happen.  I'm passionate about primary prevention education, encouraging consent culture, and I like good public health marketing... as well as lifts and dips once we've gotten to know each other.  If you see me on the dance floor, do say hello!

I have so much gratitude for the artists who have so generously contributed their time and talent to fostering consent culture on the dance floor!  Please check out their webpages and support their work!

Inspiration

Askmetodance.org's Coloring Page Project was inspired thanks to several individuals:

Julia Jerome, who created and curated Properganda.

Laura Meilman, who late one night after a blues dance, told me a little about her work as a museum educator.  Laura shared with me that people learn better when they interact with something, rather than just look at it.

Jacinta Bunnell, the author of 'Girls Are Not Chicks', who facilitated a Feminist Coloring Book workshop I organized at SUNY New Paltz many years ago.

Angela DeCarlis, who drew an amazing illustration of me riding a unicorn.  I added some text to make the poster on the right for a party, which is still on display at my house!
